Description
Smartelo is a software application aimed at the management of the classrooms of forest marking. Their main applications are: facilitate decision-making in this important activity and support teaching in this field through organization and data processing, the evaluation of different scenarios and forestry alternatives, as well as obtaining numerical and graphical results of dendrometric, economic and ecological nature. Nowadays, the first version of Smartelo has two adaptations (PC and mobile devices) available in 3 different languages (Spanish, English and French).Other information

Advantages:
Both versions of Smartelo have been designed, developed and programmed with Microsoft Excel and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). The election of this platform and programming language for the creation of Smartelo lies on the following points: - Accessibility - User-friendliness - Scalability and editing - Diffusion and transfer - Update, documentation and technical service. Smartelo is an open access software tool with the ultimate goal of facilitate decision-making in the sustainable forest management. The design and development of it has been designed to be used specially as a teaching and training tool, but nowadays is used in research, technical or social awareness works, among others.
