Description

The aim of this line of research is to understand, at the mechanical-quantum level, the structure, behavior and thermal properties of nanostructures (function of size, composition, etc.), as well as to determine the variations in properties (melting temperature, solid-liquid transition processes, etc.) that are decisive in many technological systems applications at elevated temperatures, such as catalysis. Nanoalloys play the role of alloys at the microscopic level and open up a wide range of possibilities for building nanoaggregates with tailor-made properties, although their study is more complex: properties can change not only because of the size of the nanoaggregate, but also because of the exchange of different units.
