Description

PURPOSE
  • Consolidate a work group in the field of Acoustic Engineering and Vibrations at the University of Valladolid. The members of the group that intends to consolidate and give legal form have been working in this field for several years, developing, among others, the different tasks:
  • Direct doctoral thesis in Acoustics and Vibrations
  • Publish articles in important journals in the field of Applied Acoustics
  • Start up the Interuniversity Master "Master in Acoustic Engineering and Vibrations" at the University of Valladolid together with the University of León, coordinated by a member of the group.
  • Teach in several masters of the University of Valladolid, apart from the aforementioned master, the subjects related to Acoustics and Vibrations.
  • Collaborate with companies in the field of Acoustics through articles 83, to perform Noise Maps and specific studies on acoustic impact.
  • Participate in research projects in the field of Acoustics and Vibrations, both regional and national and international.
  • Organize and deliver various training courses in the field of Applied Acoustics, aimed primarily at Professional Colleges.
All or some members of the team participate regularly in the organization of National Congresses and Symposiums of Acoustics, in National and International Committees of Standardization, and occasionally in Workshops in various areas of Acoustics in the European scope

OBJECTIVES
  • Promote research in the field of Acoustics and Vibrations at the University of Valladolid.
  • Encourage the collaboration of the group's researchers with companies specialized in this field.
  • Increase participation in R&D research project
  • Facilitate the collaboration of our researchers with other national and international research groups.
  • Facilitate the collaboration and hiring of our researchers with companies and institutions
  • Encourage and facilitate the transfer of results to the productive sector, in order to improve the acoustic quality in the different fields of Applied Acoustics.
  • Encourage and facilitate the transfer of results to regional and municipal management and government bodies, with the purpose of perfecting policies aimed at improving the acoustic quality of our society.
In general, AVISA constitutes an advisory and consultation group for all problems related to Environmental, Architectural and Industrial Acoustics.
