Description

OBJECTIVES:

The absence, at the beginning of the 21st century, of a universally accepted conception of the lyrical fact and of an equally accepted and specific scientific methodology for its analysis (Mueller-Zettelman & Rubik, 2005), or in other words, the absence of a corpus methodological-poetic comparable to Narratological, determines, to a large extent, the scientific coherence of our group. With our research we contribute to the construction of a unitary and coherent Poetology or Poetological Science, non-existent until now.

The Ordinary members of the present group are aware of this absence in the intellectual panorama of our time and from this awareness have arisen (and are in progress) several Doctoral Theses (directed by the Group's Coordinator), publications and participations in national and international Congresses.

The Group's interest is not limited to lyrical discourse, but also takes into account one of the most specific literary phenomena of our Postmodern literature: generic hybridization or crossing of genres, which contemplates the three generic universals and constitutes a source of effects literary that continually demand new and increasingly sophisticated approaches.

These pathways have their origin not only in modern linguistics and its most relevant developments (pragmatics; cognitive linguistics) but also in other scientific proposals stemming from the intrinsic complexity of the aforementioned phenomenon (psychology, Literature Grade; Gender Grade).

Consequently, our fundamental objective aims, progressively, to contribute to the study of literary discourse in general, and of the lyrical one in particular, contributing to said study increasingly universally accepted analytical methodology and instruments, founded on scientific coherence and directly applicable to discourse. literary in english language.
