Description

Purpose:

The members of the group have been working together for some time on topics focused on research focused on the management of health and disease situations that can be improved through changes in lifestyle towards a healthy and sustainable model.
Our research is oriented towards population studies in the prevention and promotion of health, the management of health determinants and risk reduction, the planning and application of care, as well as the consideration of differential aspects of gender, age and other factors. inequalities in the socio-sanitary field.

Goals:

The general objective of GIR VIMAS+ is research and knowledge transfer on issues related to healthy living, sustainability and the implementation of studies regarding the relationship of environmental factors with health and disease throughout the life cycle, as well as its therapeutic approach and care. Specific:
  • Disseminate knowledge through scientific publications aimed at professionals and dissemination to the general population.
  • Develop conferences and scientific congresses related to the group's lines of research.
  • Promote synergies with other institutions or organizations aimed at empowering the population in their health process through specific and collaborative actions.
  • Implement joint research in the environment of the Doctoral College of the Tordesillas Group (Brazil, Portugal, Spain), and establish relationships with other related or complementary research groups from other national and international universities.
  • Supervise and direct doctoral theses and works that enhance research in the group's field of action.
