Description

The main purpose of the Research Group on the Assessment of Sports Performance, Physical Activity and Health, and Sports Injuries (REDAFLED) is to generate and transfer scientific knowledge to be applied through physical activity and sport to society as a whole in different areas and populations. This multidisciplinary group was created with the intention of working together to respond to different aspects related to the optimisation of training and sports performance, the improvement of health, the promotion of physical activity in the school context, the prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries, among others.
The main objectives pursued are oriented towards the study of the factors that influence the optimisation of sports performance, the improvement of health through physical activity and physical exercise, and the processes of prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries, with the sole aim of improving the quality of life of people and athletes.

Assessment and optimisation of physical condition aimed at sports performance.
Neuromuscular factors associated with high sports performance.
Optimisation of recovery processes in sport.
Monitoring and quantification of the physical and psychophysiological responses of athletes during training and competition.
Technical-tactical analysis of training and competition in team sports.
Analysis, prevention and readaptation of injuries in the sports context.
Assessment of nutritional status, eating habits and ergogenic aids.
New technologies applied to the assessment of sports performance, physical activity, education and health.
Programming and prescription of physical exercise and healthy habits in clinical and school environments.
Effects and adaptations of physical activity in special populations.
Interactions between drugs and physical exercise on health markers.
Assessment of nutritional status and eating habits on health.
Physical activity and sport as an educational medium in contemporary society.
Manifestations of the sporting phenomenon in its competitive, educational and/or healthy aspects.
Gender identities and sexual diversity in physical activity and sport.
