Description
Motor research is focused on three main aspects, all of them related to the combustion process: search for high performances, good results and low emissions. Thanks to the research group’s experience and experimental facilities, the combustion process can be characterized through the combustion’s speed and displayed in an easy-to-access pump, where density changes can be easily spotted. Also, MYER facilities offer technical services, such as technical valuations and consultancy, thus developing new lines in: Ignition of the mixture with hot surfaces.Other information

Additional Information:
MYER is an official and excellence research group (GR209) of Castilla y León regional government. In order to carry out their studies and validations, the research group has the following equipment in its facilities: Single-cylinder engine to study combustion, which works with natural gas and hydrogen. Combustion pumps with optic access and constant volume. High-speed digital camera. High-speed data acquisition synchronized system. System of hydrogen production via electrolysis. The group's expertise and know-how, together with the equipment available at its facilities within the School of Industrial Engineering in Paseo del Cauce, allow it to offer a variety of technical services, namely R&D projects and technical valuations. Their members have extensive experience in R&D management, since they have combined their researching activity at university and in the Fundación CIDAUT with positions such as Deputy Director of the R&D Automotive Center (Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo en Automoción in Spanish), or Head of Innovation and Technology in the Energy and Environment Department within the same center. The MYER coordinator, Andrés Melgar, also works as an external assessor for AENOR (Spanish Association of Normalization and Certification) to provide R&D project certification.
