Additional Information:

The research group has signed collaboration agreements with the Regional Health Management of Castilla y León, with the company Nertatec and with the Universities of Guanajuato (Mexico), of Queretaro (Mexico), and Paraná (Brazil). It also normally collaborates with researchers from the Department of Statistics and Operational Research of the University of Valladolid, and the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

The members of this GOR have been working with various companies and institutions: Adif, Integra Renfe, Fundación Cidaut, Regional Health Management of Castilla y León, Regional Energy Entity of the Junta de Castilla y León (EREN ), CIEMAT, Redalsa SL, Gas Natural Fenosa, ZIV Applications and Technology SL, Zigor Coorporación SA, etc. It is developing different Projects / Agreements of which the most outstanding of the last years are mentioned below:

• Title: Development of optimized tools for operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants - DOCTOR-PV. Funding entity (s): Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, State R & D & I Program Oriented to the Challenges of the Company (Collaboration Challenges). 2018/2020.

• Title: Analysis of the correlation of electrical indicators with the state of the thrust bearing in fully submerged pumps for the development of an automatic monitoring system. EMBER. Funding entity (s): Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, State R & D & I Program Oriented to the Challenges of the Company (Collaboration Challenges). 2018/2020.

• Title: Development of electroluminescence imaging systems for the inspection and maintenance of solar plants. Funding entity (s): Junta de Castilla y León, Subsidies of the support program for research projects co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

• Title: Photovoltaic Greenhouses_EN. Funding entity (s): ONYX-SOLAR-ENERGY S.L.

• Title: design and development of a Software for the Intelligent Organization and Regulation of the energy management of Ayuntamientos - S.O.R.I.A. Funding entity / s: Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. 2011/2014.

• Title: Evaluation of wind potential for power generation on Puná Island. Funding entity (s): Competitive Research Fund FCI-2018 of Ecuador. 2018/2019.

Equipment available:
  • Test bench for electric motors with different types of loads and brakes, frequency converters for their power supply, and a wide range of electric motors.
  • Thermographic camera.
  •  Electrical network analyzers.
  • Luxometer.
  • Own developed equipment for measuring electrical energy in installations based on FPGA.
  • Torque, speed, vibration and temperature, clamps and hall effect sensors for measuring electrical current and voltage.
  • Fixed and portable data acquisition equipment.
Technical services offered:
  • Induction motors audit: a report can be made on the state of an induction motor by using non-invasive techniques and analyzing the electrical current.
  • Thermographic analysis of electrical installations: an analysis of the state of electrical installations is carried out using this technique and corrective maintenance measures are proposed.
  • Electrical energy audit: an electricity consumption study of an installation is carried out, and corrective and energy-saving measures are proposed with the techniques and equipment developed.
  • Monitoring of electrical installations: a study is carried out on the quality of the energy in an installation, identifying sources of harmonic pollution, and events or disturbances, both from internal and external causes.
