Description

This research line is focused on obtaining chemical products and energy from natural resources, such as cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, using technologies that involve supercritical water or pressurized hot water.

Other data (last five years: 3 European projects (SHYMAN, DoHIP and WINESENSE), 10 national projects in Spain, 4 competitive reseach projects at regional level and 18 research agreements with private entities. More than 100 papers have been published in renowned scientific journals and more than 120 have been presented in congresses and symposia at national and international levels. Two patents have been granted, 19 PhD theses have been defended, 17 of which obtained an European mention, and more than 13 Master's theses.
