Description

The Transdisciplinary Center for Research in Education (CETIE-UVa) is a research center of the University of Valladolid (UVa) created in May 2010. It is currently made up of 60 researchers. CETIE-UVa intends to support and encourage the research activities of its members and teams in relation to research in education, with special emphasis on the interrelationships between different areas of knowledge.

The main functions of the CETIE-UVa center are: 
  • To provide support and incentive to the research activities of its members and teams regarding the research in education.
  • The cooperation of the center with the Faculty of Education & Social Work at University of Valladolid, the E.U. de Magisterio (teaching school) in Segovia, the E.U. de Magisterio (teaching school) in Palencia, and the E.U. de Educación (teaching school) in Soria, in the pedagogical training in teachers, and the researching activities they develop. 
  • The research in education about: 
    • the development of the teaching role in different educational levels. 
    • The events and issues of teaching and learning in the subjects of education. 
    • The updating of teaching methodologies and implementation of the curriculum.
    •  The teaching approaches to the different areas of knowledge of the University in its educational projection. 
    • The evaluation processes in any level or aspects of the formal and/or non-formal and formal education system. 
    • Development of new emerging lines of research compatible congruent with the spirit of CETIE-UVa. 
  • The updating of knowledges, methodologies and technologies oriented to the improvement of learning processes
    • E learning
    • assessmentTechnology EnhancedApoyos TIC for the elderly.
    • Strategic co-responsibility to confront gender
    • based violence. 
    • Inclusive education and overcoming of social exclusivity (Grupo Acoge). 
  • Proposal, development and implementation of collaboration agreements with social sectors, agencies and entities, both public and private, that hold competences in the field of education. 
  • The analysis of the educational situation in its different levels and stages on the university and non-university area. 
  • The contribution with their studies and researches for the planning, innovation, development and evaluation of the education. 
  • The technical support and orientation to those in charge of the educational process, both university level and in the other levels, whenever claimed. 
  • The counselling, in whatever it is requested to the different agencies and commissions of the University of Valladolid in the processes of evaluation related to teaching. 
  • Support, promote and consolidate academic exchange conventions with national and international educational centers and institutions of renowned prestige, both public and private, in the field of education.
  • Support, promote and consolidate academic and scientific bridges with national and international educational centers and institutions of renowned prestige, both public and private, in the field of education, that contribute to the development of researches in quality education.
