Description
This product is a snow or skibike. Its innovation, compared to similar bikes, lies in its design for high speed descents, while the other existing snow bikes are only adapted to acrobatics or slow descents. For this high speed mode, the bike exhibits a longer and shorter shape and design to allow the driver to keep a more aerodynamic position. This weight distribution will allow faster descents, but on the other side it will reduce the bike's manoeuvrability, making its use more complicated than that of a regular snowbike. Carbon fiber was chosen as the best material for this bike's frame, given its excellent resistance-to-lightness ratio. Aluminum was also used for some parts, as it allows us to graft onto carbon fiber easily. These grafts provide higher resistance to friction wear, needed for the different part joints, while its weight, though higher than that of the fiber, is not too high.Other information

Companies and markets:
Leisure. Winter sports.
Advantages:
Skibike can be adapted to people with different disabilities by redesigning the area of concern, making it accesible to all people interested in the product. A complete ergonomic study was conducted in order to determine Skibike measurements. Intended for a new purpose, it had to be designed from scratch.
