Description
The main goal of this redesigned container is to minimize the noise glass packaging makes when users discard it. To fulfill this goal, different design solutions are proposed: - Firstly, the container body is duplicated, leaving between these two bodies a gap which will be filled with an sound and fire-proof material. This way, a first barrier is created, which will prevent sound from reaching the outside. The body container is still made of carbon fiber, using the same current techniques. - Secondly, an inside mechanism is developed, which will prevent the glass falls from height and, therefore, a great deal of noise will disappeared. This mechanism is composed of two unloading lids, instead of the regular one. The new lid's distintive feature is its height self-adjustment, provided by some hermetic compressed-air cylinders that go up and down according to the weight filling the container.Other information

Companies and markets:
Urban waste management.
Advantages:
Possible substitutive product for the current glass recycling containers, when they need to be renewed, as it is an improved version. The reduction of the noise produced when discarding glass into the container makes this product highly attractive for certain urban and residential areas. It does not require to change the current vehicle fleet responsible for collecting and unloading the glass discarded into the containers.
