Description

OBJECTIVES
The group works together in different multicenter studies that seek to determine the influence of certain genetic variants on the appearance of different serious drug reactions.

Likewise, different services are developed for the community that include: diagnosis of mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in Hereditary Syndrome of Breast and Ovarian Cancer; diagnosis of mutations in the MLH1 and MSH2 genes in Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer; Pharmacovigilance tasks in Castilla y León and different pharmacoepidemiology studies, including studies on the efficacy and safety of medications. Currently participating in different international studies on medicines (Eudragene Project, Osiap Project, Med_ePhv)

The main objectives are: to identify, quantify and assess drug safety problems; develop diagnostic techniques for Genetic Mutations and Polymorphisms, some of which may influence drug metabolism; analyze the effect of Genetic Polymorphisms on Drug Responses and Cancer Predisposition - Carry out research in the field of pharmacoepidemiology - Encourage participation in Spanish and International Research Projects - Train third cycle students
