Description

OBJECTIVES
• The Optical Communications group is structured in four main lines of work:
1. Optical Communications
2. Radiocommunications
3. Application development
4. Research on teaching activity

Within these three main lines of work, the objectives are:
1. Analyze and design efficient optical communication networks to offer diversity of services.
2. Experimental characterization and evaluation of the performance of components, systems and optical communication networks.
3. Contribute to the development of secure radio communication systems, minimizing costs and maximizing their flexibility and performance.
4. Serve as strategic support and advice to companies and administration in the development and implementation of new technologies and services to promote the progress of the Information and Knowledge Society.
5. Propose techniques to improve teaching activity and develop teaching support tools.

RESEARCH LINES
• Design of radio communication systems
• Security of radio communication systems
• Analysis, design and optimization of advanced optical communication networks
• Study, design and implementation of information systems
• Measurement, characterization and modeling of the radio channel
• Experimental characterization of photonic components, systems and optical communication networks
• Research on teaching activity
