Description

According to its name, the Group has, among others, the following objectives:
  • Continue the work already undertaken on topics in which the members have experience, such as: Corbusian spatiality, Jorge Oteiza's sculpture, ephemeral architectures, the work of Donald Judd, graphic narration or scenographic space.
  • The comparative study of the treatment of space in hybrid formats such as art installations and audiovisual montages, which emerged with the post-avant-gardes from the sixties of the twentieth century.
  • The realization of publications, research projects, contracts through Article 83 of the LOU, exhibitions, workshops and artistic creations, related to spatial categories.
  • The application to the spatial analysis of architectural design instruments such as planimetric surveys, 3D dynamic models, operational diagrams or compared graphs. This is due to the fact that the artistic formats studied require, by their very nature, the realization of this type of plans, sketches and assembly instructions, for their subsequent transmission to the production system.
  • The transfer and dissemination of results to the cultural, social and economic fabric, with workshops, exhibitions, artistic interventions, conferences and publications, especially in coordination with other institutions outside the university.
RESEARCH:
  • Analysis of spatial categories in architecture and other artistic disciplines, such as sculpture, installations, graphic narration, fashion or audiovisuals.
  • Documentation of the artistic creative process with graphic and audiovisual architectural instruments.
  • Study and realization of architectural, exhibition, audiovisual or scenographic projects for the analysis and dissemination of spatiality in works of art.
