Description

Acoustic system for detection and tracking based on a virtual array of reconfigurable geometry through 4 mononsensor subarrays (P201001387). The system implements virtual arrays with a high number of sensors, through a physical array of 4 sensors and estimates the spatial position of objects via acoustic proceedings. The system is formed by 4 circular rotating disks with a microphone in each one of them, a speaker, 4 stepper motors that drive the disks, a base platform that hold the disks, the speaker and the stepper motors, an adapter (drivers) for the stepper motors, 4 preamps units for the microphones, an amplifier unit for the speaker, an acquisition and pre-processing system formed by: microcontroller, FPGA, 1 4-channel analogic input module, 1 analogic output module and a 4-channel stepper motors control module, an IT unit and a software with processing algorithms required for the functioning of the system.
