Description
CommonGo is an Android system app that consists of an automatism that allows to determine, in a simple and transparent way to a user, which users use similar routes. This can offer the possibility of sharing routes and taking advantage of what this entails. It is an app that receives related information to the phone’s location, generating different routes, which can also be introduced directly by the user and will get sent to a server. The server will compare and look for coincidences with the routes and schedules of other users. If one of the two users find the suggestion interesting he/she can get in touch with the other user to arrange the trip details. It revolves around a GIS (Geographic Information System) which is a set of tools that uses various components (users, hardware, software, processes) in order to analyse, store, manipulate and model real data with a spatial reference.Other information

Advantages:
- CommonGo makes use of a spatial database manager called PostGIS. Which draws from a relational database management oriented to objects and free like PostgreSQL. GIS is used on it, which basically adds three features: types of spatial data, spatial indexes and features it can proceed with them. - As it is built on PostgreSQL, our BBDD spatial manager inherits the features of corporate BBDDs, as well as the open standards that implement a GIS inside the database engine.
