Description

Contact lenses adjustment is a process where interaction between the person responsible for adjusting and the user is intensive and continuous. However, this interaction has been established in the same way for the last decades, despite the advancements in communication technologies. Therefore, one of the main problems is the accuracy of the subjective data provided by patients about their adjustement period, which forces them to remember their experience using contact lenses. Frequently, contact lenses users cannot report accurately all the changes and performances that took place during a certain period of use, just describing a general overview that summarizes that period. To solve this problem, we offer the invention, subject-matter of this document, called Monitor Vision. Monitor Vision is a smartphone application for eyecare professionals which allows them to control and monitor the use of contact lenses. It will collect the users' opinions, especially from the initial adjustment period but also from the periodic examinations, to support decisions during adjustment or monitoring examinations. The application is available for Android and iOS and allows the user to answer in an easy and intuitive way key questions about the state of their eyes when using contact lenses. This data will be storaged so the professional could check their evolution, spotting possible problems or tendencies.
