Advantages:
‒ Time and cost reduction regarding tests or experimentation with the object or the real situation. ‒ Possibility of fast identification of future expectations. ‒ Risk reduction associated with real experimentation.
Additional Information:
Some of the projects that are part of this line of work are: - ADISPA. Analysis, Digitalization and Interoperability between Systems for the Architectural Heritage (2007-2008/2010-2012), project financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. - PATRAC. Accessible heritage: R&D&I for a Culture without Barriers is a unique, strategic scientific and technological project that has been co-financed in its beginnings (2007) by the former Ministry of Science and Education (MCE) within the framework of the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation and in its final phase (2008-2010) by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) within the National Public-Private Cooperation Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Innovation, as well as by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). - MAPA. Model generation and software tool application for digital documentation, diagnosis and search for solutions related to the conservation of Architectural Heritage. One of the most tangible results from the MAPA project is the development of the UVACAD software platform (Advanced Visualization Utility with Drawing Assistance). This software platform is being used by different organizations (public and private ones) for heritage documentation and visualization.
