Description

This GIR aims to study the history of art during the Modern Age, attending to the artistic relationships that developed between Spain and the different peoples of Europe from the time of the Catholic Monarchs to the French Revolution, with special emphasis on art fostered by the powerful (kings, nobles, great dignitaries ...) in its various manifestations (architecture - civil, ecclesiastical, military - painting, sculpture, tapestry, goldsmithing ...) and the different degree of acceptance that society has shown to these works since its creation to this day.

The objectives of the group are:

1. Maintain continuous communication between the components in order to improve scientific results.
2. Promote joint research work.
3. Participation in projects that have continuity.
4. Organization of scientific events.
5. Dissemination of the results.
