Description

Research in current chemistry (Fine Chemistry or high added value, and Advanced Materials Chemistry) requires the contribution of specialized knowledge from different areas of Chemistry, both to address fundamental research problems and development and innovation. There was no organized center in Castilla y León to respond to this need.

The IU CINQUIMA has been covering this deficit by constituting itself as an instrument of collaboration between the different groups of different disciplines of chemistry that compose it, organized in mixed divisions, thus creating a balanced entity capable of addressing the modern challenges of development in Chemistry. The synergy of knowledge within these divisions allows considering objectives of greater fundamental or applied importance, of greater complexity, or in areas of research between disciplines.

In its external collaboration activity with companies and with other R + D + i organizations, the IU CINQUIMA provides those who request their services with a simple means of contact with a single platform capable of addressing the different phases of solving a chemical problem, on the laboratory scale, within the Institute itself.
