Description

GENERAL PURPOSE Liquid Crystals and New Materials:
Design, synthesis and characterization of molecular materials in nanostructured condensed phases such as liquid crystals, solid crystals, thin layers, etc.

Specific objectives:
a) Produce molecular materials with special physical properties, whether structural, electronic or optical.
b) Develop knowledge of the structure-activity-function relationship in the environment of molecular materials.
c) Explore strategies for the development of molecular systems that spontaneously associate in functional supramolecular materials.
