Description

OBJECTIVES:

The ELECTRONICS group of the Department of Electricity and Electronics of the UVA focuses its Research, Development and Innovation activity in different fields of microelectronics, with applications in the so-called Information and Telecommunications Technologies. Its purpose is to contribute to respond to the challenges that currently arise in microelectronic technology.

In the short and medium term we can summarize our objectives in two very specific aspects that we detail below:
  • Technological processes in micro / nano electronics: study of the physical foundations underlying the technological processes used in the manufacture of integrated circuits, through the development of physically-based atomistic models that allow the microscopic properties of semiconductors to be related to the results of the process of manufacturing. The final objective is the implementation of these models in predictive and computationally efficient simulation programs.
  • Design of CMOS Integrated Circuits: design of very high speed continuous time Sigma-Delta converters oriented to local area network, ADSL and radio applications.

Research Lines

  • Research line 1: Multiscale Modeling of Materials.
  • Research line 2: Design and Analysis of molecular structures and their interactions.
  • Research line 3: Development of electronic products (R+D+i).
