Description

OBJECTIVES

The activity to be carried out is part of the research on Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics of a basic nature. The philosophy that inspires the group's work has its starting point in the analysis of basic concepts of Statistics from different perspectives (geometric ideas of representation and approximation, probabilistic metrics, robustness or stability of procedures, etc.) with the aim of develop new statistical methods and study their practical implementation and properties compared to existing procedures.

RESEARCH

Analysis of functional data.
Robust statistical methods. Clipping techniques and statistical applications.
Study of probabilistic metrics and their statistical applications.
Resampling based methods. Bootstrap techniques.
