OBJECTIVES

It is about investigating in History of the physical-mathematical sciences and technology, mainly Spanish, in the modern era (XV to XVIII centuries).

Main objectives:

Deepening the Spanish contributions to technological progress and scientific knowledge during the XV to XVIII centuries.

Study the relationship between Spanish science and technique with those of other countries, especially Europeans.

To analyze the disciplines, the disciplines, the knowledge and its teaching, the institutions and the scientific practices in the Spain of the period considered.

RESEARCH:

Analysis of printed and handwritten bibliography of a scientific-technical nature
Study of technological achievements of a civil and military nature
Analysis of documentation from different Spanish and foreign archives
Deepen the study of Spanish institutions of a scientific nature and their relationship with foreign analogues
