Description

OBJECTIVES
The mathematical theory of dynamic systems had its origin more than a hundred years ago in the works of A. M. Lyapunov in stability theory and H. Poincaré in celestial mechanics. Since then its growth has been continuous and significant, both from the conceptual point of view and from the point of view of the techniques used in its development. In our days, the contributions of the theory of dynamic systems to the deepening of scientific and technological knowledge are enormous and far exceed the field of mathematics, being its relevant application in numerous engineering areas.

The purpose of this research group is to promote the development of this scientific theory as well as to facilitate and expand its technological applications. We can highlight the following main objectives:

O1) Research and development of dynamic methods with application in the study of non-autonomous differential equations. Description of local and global dynamics.

O2) Preparation and analysis of models in biology and engineering that are described using differential equations. Qualitative and computational study of these models.

O3) Investigation of bifurcation theory and control theory problems with engineering influence

O4) Research and development of mathematical methods for the calculation and refinement of orbits of celestial objects and study of possibilities of impact with the Earth.

O5) Dissemination of the scientific work and the results obtained that allow a better knowledge and a greater social assessment of the work carried out.

LINES OF INVESTIGATION
  • Orbital dynamics
  • Non-autonomous control theory
  • Nonlinear branching theory
  • Models in biology and engineering
  • Non-autonomous differential equations.
  • Quasi-periodic and quasi-automorphic dynamics
