Description

Stable research group for the study of dynamic economic processes, using techniques and instruments from disciplines such as Dynamic Optimization, Dynamic Programming, Optimal Control and Recursive Utility. Within this approach, numerous dynamic models of decisive relevance in Economics are included, such as those appearing in Macroeconomics, Mathematical Finance, Economic Theory and Game Theory, among others. The research activities considered involve the continuation and expansion of those carried out previously by the members of the group, who have formed stable and competitive research teams, which have been funded in public calls in recent years.
The group's specific reference areas are Dynamic Optimization, Mathematical Finance and Recursive Utility.
The group's objectives include
(1) promoting scientific and academic activities (work meetings, seminars, conferences) with renowned researchers, professors and students;
(2) originate the development and appearance of new results, both theoretical and applied, in the referred areas;
(3) encourage participation in congresses and meetings of international relevance, as well as publication in reference impact magazines;
(4) promoting the transfer of the results obtained to solving real dynamic economic problems in today's society.
