OBJECTIVES

• The Purpose of the Recognized Research Group "Infection Research" is to promote, design and develop Research projects on Etiology, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Treatment, Epidemiology and Prevention of human infectious diseases.

The Group's objectives are:

a) Promote the development of a stable multidisciplinary research group on human infectious diseases

b) Promote research in the Microbiology, Histopathology, Epidemiology and Prophylaxis of human infections and encourage the development of the applicability of the new knowledge acquired.

c) To deepen the knowledge of the etiology and pathogenic mechanisms of human infectious diseases.

d) Develop and investigate the usefulness of new techniques for direct and indirect diagnosis of infectious diseases

e) Study the effects on antimicrobial microorganisms and their utility in the treatment of human infections.

f) To deepen the knowledge of the epidemiology and prophylaxis of human infectious diseases
