Description

The CTRI-UVa, created on June 9, 2009 by the Governing Board of the UVa, succeeds the Institute of Ibero-America and Portugal, UVa section, which has carried out its work at the headquarters of the Houses of the Treaty of Tordesillas since 1994.
Its objective is to give academic and scientific support to the interactions with Ibero-America of the UVa, based on the research activity and training of researchers of its members and teams.

Likewise, it is the objective of the CTRI-UVa, the creation of interdisciplinary added value and serve as an academic bridge with Latin America, stimulating and channeling initiatives of the University Community.

Additional Information:

The CTRI-UVa and the Brazil-UVa Chair have their headquarters in the Houses of the Treaty. They are facilities owned by the Tordesillas City Council, assigned by agreement to the UVa. In addition to the activities of the CTRI and the Chair, these infrastructures are available for carrying out scientific, academic, technological and social activities that have a natural link with Latin America. Their promotion is part of the aims of the CTRI-UVa and the Chair.
