Description

Objectives

The aim of this research group is to create a space for collaboration and cooperation between UVa researchers who develop their research in various areas of plant production and improvement through biotechnological applications in agriculture, seeking synergies that increase and enhance the scope of action, scientific production and the transfer of these to the productive sector.
The objectives of the Research Group are basically to continue to deepen the knowledge on the proposed lines of research, in order to subsequently apply it to the productive sector and to the teaching activity of its members. In particular, the aim is to seek biotechnological solutions that allow for greater production and/or a progressive reduction in dependence on agrochemicals in agriculture, with a view to achieving greater sustainability and a lower impact of their use in order to contribute to mitigating and adapting to climate change. In addition, the aim is to provide companies and producers in the agricultural and biotechnological production sector with a space in which to raise their problems, trying to find solutions through advice or by proposing research aimed at solving them, in order to improve their competitiveness. It also aims to disseminate and disseminate results through publications, patents, scientific meetings, congresses, conferences, etc.
