Description

Objectives

The research of this group is focused on applied mycology, from different perspectives, such as land management oriented to increase mycological production or the development of new products and services based on fungi. In addition, forest systems are severely affected by forest fires with increasing frequency and severity, which harms most of the fungi that live associated with these forests.
Therefore, the objectives of this group are the following:

1. Conservation of forest ecosystems.
2. Sustainable forest management.
3. Valuation of non-timber resources and enhancement of their value.
