Description

Assisted and rehabilitation system based on the use of various sensors aimed at detecting the bioelectric muscular activity, for its use in the study of some neuromuscular disorders. These sensors are able to get certain signals that can be processed with the available analysis tools in real time, e.g. chaos theory and wavelets. These signals are later employed for the monitoring of virtual and real systems, rehabilitation work and assistance in medical diagnoses. The system allows the training of people using myoelectric prosthesis, because of the amputation of an upper limb, and so eases their adaptation to the prosthesis they are using. Besides, this neuromuscular training platform would allow the user to control a personal computer, virtual environments or the home automation system, just by using bioelectric signals of electromyography (EMG). Furthermore, the signal display application allows to monitor different biopotentials and assist specialist doctors in the diagnosis of diseases.
