Description

PURPOSE:

The Purpose of the Recognized Research Group "PANGEA" is to promote, design and develop Research projects on Natural Heritage, Geomorphology, and Applied Geography, with special dedication to Protected Natural Spaces.

OBJECTIVES:

Promote the development of a stable multidisciplinary research group (geographers and engineers) on Natural Heritage, human resources and geomorphological processes.
Promote research in Physical Geography and Heritage and encourage the development of the applicability of the new knowledge acquired.
Deepen the knowledge of Geodiversity and the mechanisms that reduce its value in ENP.
To develop and investigate the usefulness of new techniques for controlling geomorphological processes such as geoindicators and geodiversity.
Develop and investigate the usefulness of methodologies for the inventory and valuation of elements of natural heritage, in particular LIG.
Analyze the situation of the population and the population models as well as the interrelation of the human and physical means from the perspective of the enhancement of the heritage heritage.
Promote the study of natural spaces from a global, physical, human and economic perspective, with the aim of promoting sustainable economic use of endogenous resources and population fixation in areas of low demographic density.
