Description

The UVALAL aims to contribute to research on language acquisition from the perspective of linguistic theory and comparative grammar. Specifically, the studies carried out by UVALAL focus on the following aspects:
  • linguistic study of the acquisition of first languages ​​(monolingual, bilingual and heritage) and second or third languages, as well as the relationship between these different acquisition processes
  • analysis of the phenomena that emerge in situations of languages ​​in contact
  • study of different linguistic aspects related to bilingualism and its acquisition: code alternation, natural translation, acquisition of lexical and functional categories, etc.
