Additional Information:

Investigation groups:
The Bioeconomy Institute of the University of Valladolid is made up of four research groups, leaders in their fields:
  • High pressure process group (hpp). Development of sustainable processes using clean technologies such as the use of pressurized gases and water in sub / supercritical conditions, to be used as a solvent or reaction medium
  • Thermocal. Experimental determination using very high precision techniques of thermodynamic and thermophysical properties of multicomponent fluid systems and their equilibrium properties with other phases
  • UvaSens. Research on materials and nanomaterials, and their applications in various fields with special attention to food
  • Dimepro. Business analysis, including aspects related to the commercialization of products, study of their industrialization and competitive intelligence
Together they develop active lines of research within the institute that can be summarized in three large groups:
  • Bioenergy
  • Bioprocesses
  • Biomaterials
The ultimate goal of the institute is to use the knowledge of all its members to help the development of a sustainable world.
