Description

The purpose of the Nanostructures Physics Group is to coordinate and promote the initiatives and research activity of its members within the field of Theoretical and Computational Physics, aimed at the study of nanostructured materials and Nanotechnology. Likewise, our intention is to disseminate the research results obtained as a consequence of the research activity of the group members. It is also an aim of this GIR to contribute to the training of predoctoral students and postdoctoral researchers.

General objectives:
  • Consolidate the Research Group that has been working in recent years in the area of nanotechnology.
  • Contribute to the advancement of basic knowledge in nanoscience, so that it can be used in the development of novel technological applications.
These general objectives are specified in the following specific objectives:
  • Coordinate the investigation of the members of the GIR.
  • Disseminate scientific and technical advances that occur as a result of the research activity of its members.
  • Promote and support collaborations with other groups of recognized prestige and especially with experimental groups.
  • Coordinate with other groups forming national or international work networks.
  • Promote and support the training of predoctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and associate members of the GIR in the field of nanotechnology.
  • Encourage visits to other groups of recognized prestige in related fields.
  • Obtain financing for the realization of the purposes of the GIR
