Description

OBJECTIVES
• The purpose of this group is Research and Development, Technological Innovation and Scientific Dissemination in the field of design and manufacturing, mainly applied to biomechanics and ergonomics.

cIbeR tries to respond to the growing demand of the business and social sphere, in general, of the application of biomechanical and ergonomic principles in the design of new products, in the implementation of new lines / jobs, but also as support to the medical field when addressing, among other aspects, disability.
The objective is to be the first center in Castilla y León, promoting quality research with both national and international projection, trying to establish:
* Greater attention to safety and prevention at work and therefore to the ergonomics of the workplace, for elementary reasons, although also driven by economic and legal reasons.
* Increase the value and competitiveness of products of all kinds according to ergonomic considerations.
* Transfer the technology to a strategic and value-added sector such as biomedical: development of prostheses, improvement of protocols, diagnostic techniques, ...
* Take advantage of the resources and technological capacity of our society to improve the quality of life of the disabled. .

Without being exclusive, the lines of action are:
* Diagnostic tests, Ergonomic and sensory design, Rehabilitation, Improvement of sports performance, Conception of medical equipment, Adaptation of the workplace, Ergonomic evaluation, Acoustic and vibratory comfort, Development of prosthetics and orthopedics, Applied psychology, Improvement of product manufacturing

It brings together more than ten years of experience and research in manufacturing engineering and as a laboratory accredited by the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC), which now directs its effort and inertia towards the design of products and processes focused on the human factor, seeking to give response at any stage of development: biomechanical study, ergonomics, manufacturing and prototyping and laboratories and tests.

RESEARCH LINES
• Dimensional metrology, force and torque, mass, acoustics
• Industrial ergonomics and production
• Manufacture by chip removal and monitoring
• Technological application in the biomedical field
