Description

OBJECTIVES
• The Group's general objectives are:
a) Generate and transmit new knowledge in the field of Animal Production
b) Offer the possibility of training new researchers for the University itself, for the company, the industry, etc.
c) Offer the students of this University the possibility of joining a research group on Animal Production and that they know the scientific method and the novelties discovered so that they can both transmit and apply them in Society.
d) Favor the relationship with public institutions and private companies for advisory work and problem solving, so that these relationships may have an impact on the practical teaching of subjects in the Animal Production Area.
e) Generate income to renew and improve the material of the Department.

The specific objectives of the group are:
a) Know the digestive use and nutritional value of the rations consumed by ruminants
b) Developing ruminant feeding strategies aimed at obtaining quality food (meat and milk)
c) Analyze molecular genetic information for integration into breeding schemes
e) Develop milk quality sensors
f) Integrate all the information obtained to optimize the Ruminant Production and Feeding systems in order to improve the productive yields of the farms and obtain higher quality products (meat and milk).
