Description

- Study of chip removal processes using advanced experimental techniques for optimization. - Analysis of cutting forces, vibratory level, sound level, wear, high speed thermography. - Analysis and diagnosis of the incidence of the manufacturing process on the behavior in service. Techniques in different areas: Manufacturing Area: - A-16 Belt Milling Machine with Heidenhain 355 CNC. - DANOBAT Danumeric NI-650 lathe with CNC Fanuc 150T. - Kondia HM-1060 with Siemens CNC. - Conventional machines: CMC milling machine, TEKNIMAK lathe, grinding machine. DANOBAT, Grinding machine GER, Drill column IBARNIA A-35, Combined Press. 50Tm, bending machine. Area of material characterization: - Universal machine SHIMADZU AG-IS 100 kN. - COMPUTEST ERNST Portable Hardness Tester. - Ferritometer. Turning cutting force measurement system: - Kistler 91921 dynamometers, mounted on the DANOBAT Danumeric NI-650 Lathe with CNC Fanuc 150T. In addition to the measurement of cutting forces in turning, it is possible to study other parameters such as sound level, vibration level, EA (acoustic emission) or power consumption. On the piece or the tool, there is the equipment necessary to measure roughness (both in situ and in the laboratory), hardness and wear. System for measuring cutting forces in milling / drilling: - Rotary dynamometer Kistler 9124A, assembled on a A-16 belt with CNC Heidenhain 355. In addition to the measurement of cutting forces in turning, it is possible to study other parameters such as sound level, vibration, AE (acoustic emission) or power consumption. On the piece or the tool, there is the equipment necessary to measure roughness (both in in situ as in laboratory), hardness and wear. Others: Laser Vibrometer, Thermocouples, Electronic Scanning Microscopy Systems and Transmission Electron Microscopy for the morphological study of metal samples and tools.
