Description

The purpose is to advance in a better knowledge and normalization of specialty languages ​​and their translation (Spanish, French, English and German), in order to contribute to the improvement of communication in specific sectors such as wine (Traduvino: the language of the vine and wine and its translation), tourism (Tradoturismo: the language of tourism and its translation) and in other specialized fields of interest for the province and region where the UVA Faculty of Translation and Interpretation is located. or that become relevant in the future.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Contribute to further scientific development and open new horizons in the field of specialized languages ​​and translation, with a particular focus on the wine and tourism domain, as well as other specialized fields of interest to the province and region where the Faculty or that will become relevant in the future.
  • Diachronic and synchronous study of the language of the vine and the wine, the tourist and others that are considered of interest.
  • Compilation and study of wine, tourism and other fields of interest.
  • Development of resources for wine, tourism and other fields translation: wine / tourism translation manual, dictionaries, terminology corpus, documentation, translation memories, etc.
  • Contribute to a better training of the specialized translator in the wine, tourism and other fields.
  • Contribute to better training in languages ​​for specific purposes (English, French and German) for administration staff, technicians and employees in the wine, tourism and other fields of interest.
