Description

OBJECTIVES
Purpose
Conservation of biodiversity through the study of biological communities, the mechanisms of dispersal and colonization of plants and animals, autoecology and the behavior of species

goals
- to know the relationships between animal organisms and plants in seed dispersal.
- to know the colonization capacity of new territories in plants for their application to the restoration of degraded spaces
- to study of dispersal strategies in birds and their implications on social organization, population genetics and species conservation
- to study of chemical communication in mammals and their importance in behavior and in their social organization
- to know the ecology of threatened animal species to be applied in their conservation
- to study of organisms as bioindicators of the quality of ecosystems
- to study of behavioral ecology and its application in conservation
- creation of seed banks of interest in the conservation of biodiversity

RESEARCH LINES

To understand the relationships between animals and plants in the dispersal of seeds.
To learn about the capacity of plants to colonise new territories in order to apply it to the restoration of degraded areas.
Understanding the ecology of endangered species to be applied to their conservation.
Study of organisms as bio-indicators of the quality of ecosystems.
Study of behavioural ecology and its application in conservation.
Creation of seed banks of interest in biodiversity conservation.
Study of the bioecology and population dynamics of invertebrates of interest in forest health.
Study of the interactions between insects and micro-organisms with the aim of developing measures aimed at the protection of forest masses.
