Description

The PURPOSE of the GIR CITTAC is the Study of the specialized languages ​​of the English language and their applications

The OBJECTIVES that we want to develop in the medium term are the following:
  • Construction of electronic corpus of records: economic, legal, medical and biotechnology
  • Description of the most common communicative genres of these registers
  • Study of the rewriting processes between communicative genres
  • Terminology and phraseology extraction
  • Construction of specialized glossaries and dictionaries
  • Contrastive analysis of the following levels. syntactic, pragmatic, terminological, phraseological and rhetorical
  • Determination of translation evaluation criteria and evaluation of translation quality
  • Use of ICT in the study of specialty languages
  • Quality control of machine translation
